DECEMBER 2009 - "The Awakening" - my first short film
And finally, the decade was finished with the production of “The Awakening”, the first short film script I ever wrote, in 2001. It will be screened on the 21st of March at our new A/V nights in East London called "Pulse"
NOVEMBER 2009 - LAB and TrashVanTraXXX vs. Duodroume in France
I was invited by LAB to be a collaborator for the film festival section of their new website
In November 2009 I went to France with the A/V TrashVanTraxxx vs duodroume A/V set
AUGUST/OCTOBER 2009 - The Raindance Film Festival Mission
In August 2009 I started working for the 18th Raindance Film Festival, coordenating the day and evening programs of the Raindance Film Café, as well as the workshops, seminars and discussion panels with Industry Professionals that took place during the festival.
I also programmed the audiovisual remix of “Kakera”, Japanese indie hit of the festival, as well as the opening and closing party.
SUMMER 2009 - "Article 12", "FFT ERROR" and Glade Festival
Also did some transcription work for the documentary “Articulo 12” about surveillance and public warfare (Post Production)
During the summer 2009 in Berlin the A/V set FFT ERROR vs. duodroume was born, here is the flyer and a small video part of the set
And I went to Glade festival with the A/V set by UK e-musik producers Broken Note and me vjing as duodroume cinema destruktion. Also flyer (only the producers and dj's name appear on the flyer) and a snippet of the set
MAY/JUNE 2009 - NFTS and "Father's Day"
In may, I did the great Script Supervisor course at NFTS
Shortly after I was Continuity for the short film “Father’s Day”
JANUARY/MARCH 2009 - The last year of the decade begins
2009 was professionally a good year, that started with the Director’s Foundation course from Raindance Film Festival
Where I had a little taste of what I am seeking as a career and helped on the preparation of actors for the short film “Confabulation”
Maybe one day I will shoot this short. But I did learn many valuable lessons during the process.
Me and my work partner Nayana prepared a special VJ set for the closing party of the Birds Eye View Festival. We were given two of the silent films to mess with (The Temptress and Alraune), part of the special programme of the festival.

December 2008 I assisted continuity on the feature “Mesocafe” (On Post Production)
And worked as Runner on the feature PATIENT 17 (On Post Production)

Duodroume is the brazilian audiovisual artist gabriela dworecki, extreme electronic music enthusiast and student of the intersections of cinema and sound. Raised to a soundtrack from her Hungarian roots, the 27 year-old São Paulo native spent her formative years exploring film and the music that surrounded her. Duodroume was born of Dworecki's vision of interweaving the explosive audio of São Paulo's breakcore scene with a visual narrative composed of spastic reappropriated film, creating an end result far exceeding the sum of its parts. Duodroume is both iconic and underground, intellectual yet visceral - Duodroume is cine-destruktion!
